It's been 11-months since we started our mission here in Ottawa and we are ramping up big for fall this year.

Since September we've received new products from over 50 makers, including some sweet stuff from 10 brand new makers such as Nature Imprint (Montreal), North Standard Trading Post (Toronto), and Zoe's Corner (Ottawa).

From opening our pop-up shop last fall to becoming a permanent fixture in Hintonburg, it has been an awesome ride and we could not be more thankful for all of our customers and neighbours. Keep an eye for our birthday party announcement in our November newsletter!

As for this month...If you've ever wanted really beautiful handwriting, now is your chance! Come join Rebecca from Happy Ever Crafter on October 16th as she on the basics of calligraphy. All supplies will be included, but spots are limited and her workshops always sell quickly, so sign up soon! She’ll be hosting two sessions starting at and .

Here’s two questions for you: Do you want to save the trees? And do you like tasty cocktails? If you answered yes to either of these, then you’re going to want to come by our shop on October 22!

We’re going to be giving away FREE evergreen tree saplings and FREE cocktail samples from 2 to 6pm thanks to our good friends at Ecology Ottawa and Split Tree Cocktail Co. The event is to toast to the more than $2,500 we're donating to the Tree Ottawa campaign through our #CraftChange program.

With Halloween fast approaching, why not ditch the boring ol’ Jack-o-Latern and try something new this year? On we’ll be giving a few lucky people the chance to make 3-D Paper Pumpkins (or Crows) to take home.

Learn from the awesome team behind Low Poly Crafts, who launched their amazing paper Deer Head Kit at Maker House as part of their Urban Hunt collection. to summon new skills, and try the craft of making 3-D PaperSculptures! Participants will also get 10 per cent off Low Poly Craft kits in-store the day of the workshop.

For the beer lovers out there, our store-mates at Brew Donkey are hosting a craft beer education evening on from 6 to 9pm. Take in free samples from Clocktower and Beyond The Pale, explore the diversity of beer, and learn specifically about the difference between subtle and strong flavours in beer.

The store will stay open late so you can shop our craft beer swag, as well as beer-inspired locally handmade goods. 

Finally, we are so excited to announce our partnership with who does amazing work in our community providing food to our neighbours in need. For the next three months (until December 31st 2016), we will donate 2 per cent of all purchases to PFC in support of their work and will also be hosting a food drive that will start in the new few weeks.
